beesite Recruiting: The perfect solution for high application volumes

Dirk Rossmann GmbH is the second largest drugstore chain in Germany and has 56,200 employees in Europe, of which over 33,000 are employed in Germany. If the company is divided into different areas, there are three main resorts with divergent requirements: The headquarters in Burgwedel near Hanover, logistics with warehouses and distribution centres spread across Germany, and sales with around 2,150 drugstores within Germany. In total, ROSSMANN receives more than 100,000 applications every year – a huge number that needs to be managed. Dirk Rossmann GmbH has been working with milch&zucker since 2015 in order to meet the high volume of applicants with a suitable software solution.

The task
– The company’s divisions each have different needs when it comes to recruiting processes.
– In addition to online applications, the company also receives many paper applications, which also have to be processed online.
– The mass of applications forces the company to constantly increase efficiency in order to speed up the application process.
– There is therefore a tension between harmonising the processes and the complex organisational structure. ROSSMANN needs a system that is both flexible and customisable and at the same time standardises processes and external perception.
– For the applicant management system, this also means a balancing act between customised modifications and maintaining the ability to update the recruiting software.

Solution
– ROSSMANN benefits from the many configuration options of the beesite Recruiting Edition.
– beesite can map processes in a standardised way and at the same time integrate individual workflows.
– Applicants access the job portal directly via the ROSSMANN website. This is integrated into the layout of ROSSMANN’s entire online presence.
– Questions in the online application can be tailored to the requirements profile and asked differently for each company division.
– Recruiters process their applications quickly via numerous collection campaigns.
– Customised solutions for the customer.

Special features of the ROSSMANN applicant management system
– Paper applications are scanned by a separate organisational unit and read into the software semi-automatically.
– For the first time, a map has been integrated on which employees in the HR department can see the distance between the job and their place of residence. This is particularly interesting for the branches, as they can check which drugstore is closest to their place of residence and therefore the most attractive for applicants.
– The results of interviews for sales assistant positions can be recorded in a structured way, in line with the defined mandatory and target requirements for the position. Personal data and relevant questions from the online application are automatically pre-filled in a form and the interviewer completes the results from the interview.

Result
ROSSMANN has been using the beesite Recruiting Edition since 2015 to publicise vacancies and process applications quickly. The long-standing partnership is testament to milch & zucker’s consulting expertise, which has a positive impact on the project outcome with every update. This also includes the regular transfer of expertise to the customer through training courses for recruiters, key users in the HR department and specialist administrators.
